So how can we teach our children, who are only 3-6 years old, about Jesus in a way that they can understand – the big story of God when it’s recorded in such a thick book, the Bible?
After some time looking for materials and researching, the SU Team would like to introduce the curriculum for “Learning God’s Big Story”:

“God’s Big Story” from Genesis to Revelation was developed by SU Team to contain 52 keywords and their accompanying actions. They are found in our Walking through the Bible curriculum.
Every keyword will be expanded upon through one or more classes, with each class including:

A section on important knowledge about life

“LEARNING MY LETTERS AND BIBLE WORDS” introduces the 29 letters of the Vietnamese Alphabet in both uppercase and lowercase. There are exercises where they have to highlight letters, word search activities, and exercises to practice forming letters and words. Particularly interestingly, each letter of the alphabet goes along with a word or phrase taken from the Bible that starts with that letter.

This is a good set of flashcards for group activities of 2 or more people, or they can be used in big meetings to quiz each other in the Bible. The 100 Characters flashcards can also be used as a study tool to help people learn the main about the characters in the Bible, and related information as well.

The Bible is a treasure for believers, full of everything we need in order to live a full and meaningful life. As true disciples of Jesus, we want to know His Word and live it out in our daily lives. But there is one thing that we can easily see, which is that the teachings of the Bible often go against the way we think as humans. The truth in God’s Word challenges us to obey and to change our ways. We need to realize that we must change to fit the Bible; The Bible cannot be lightly applied according to how we see fit in our lives. So when facing pressure, confusion, turmoil, and struggle, in order to live with God’s Word, each of us needs to obtain, learn from, explore, and hold fast to the Word of truth. This is our spiritual food that nourishes us every day. We are no longer spiritual “newborns”. We should desire to mature and grow firm in the faith. “Maturity is a process, not a destination. Progressing towards God every day is the desire and goal of those who follow Him”. The process of maturing as we study God’s Word, SU Team would like to present to you this small group material “100 Characters of the Bible”. You can use this material for self-study or self-research, and at the same time use it to study with your small group as you mature more and more. This community of faith around you certainly will have those to model this for you to encourage, to teach, and to be a friend to you as you advance together. They will help give you encouragement to pursue your goal of progressing towards God.
In part 1 of “100 Characters in the Bible”, we will go over some notable characters that the Bible records during the age of theocracy. This is the inception of the world, from the first two humans to be created, more and more people were born, filling the earth. They formed small communities, which grew into larger groups and eventually into distinct people groups. It’s called the age of theocracy because from Adam and Eve until the time of Samuel, God’s people relied entirely on God’s direction. They hadn’t yet come together as a country or had a king over them. As we learn more about this time, we will see more clearly God’s authority over history and about His everlasting love as He foretells the coming of the Messiah.
Part of the “100 Characters” curriculum for small groups, the “100 Characters for Small Groups” part 2 is a series of lessons about the notable characters the Bible has recorded during the time of kings, exile, and return to the homeland. During this time period, the prosperity and deterioration of the Israelite nation was influenced greatly by the faith, lifestyle, and leadership of their kings – those they demanded to have so that they could be like the peoples around them. During this period, the Bible also writes about the prophets, full of God’s grace and anointed by Him to proclaim many messages of warning and love, messages to build up and to tear down, and messages of restoration for the people. As we study, we will be able to clearly see the way God reveals His righteousness and love.
This material combines self-study with group learning. Therefore, here are 5 guidelines recommended for the most effective use:
01. READ the Key Passages, DO the Self-Study at home, then SHARE what you have learned
with others in your small group Bible study.
02. RECORD insights from others and lessons summed up by the Bible facilitator after your
group discussion.
03. GATHER more knowledge from the “Read More Get More” section. This part includes
additional information and useful data related to the passage or character being studied.
04. LEARN the memory verse for each lesson.
05. MAINTAIN the group’s spirit and chemistry by whatever means you can.
