“God, we are here before You. We have come to You as Your children, not as young leaders from any one denomination, not as representatives of any young adult group or church. We come just as we are. We are here before You.
Thank You, God, for making it so that we could stand in such a VALUED POSITION that we could never be worthy of – to be the sons and daughters of the King of heaven! Thank You, God, for the NOBLE CALLING You have for us. There are some of us that have been confirmed as a child of God through this camp, some of us who have just found this confirmation, and some of us who are still waiting to receive it. Yet we believe that everyone will have a part in Your great work. Thank You so much, God, because You have given us a clear direction so that we can live a NOBLE AND MAGNIFICENT LIFE before You, and we apologize because there have been many times we have not lived in this way. We apologize for the times we didn’t reflect, or did not reflect enough, Your glory through our lives. Please help us! Thank You God for Your promise to give us a MARVELOUS REWARD, because You are the God of generosity and abundance. Because, really, in order to pay our debt of love to You, even if we were to serve You for the rest of this life, it would never be enough. But You still have a reward for those who serve You. We thank You!
‘God, we are here before You!’ – This sentence is one that nine of our brothers and sisters, our friends, brothers and sisters of the young men and women at this camp, prayed to believe in God on this special night.
The tears and the moments of praying and pledging their lives to God this night was truly meaningful in a way that only deep in the heart of someone who has poured themselves out before God can understand. And above all, You saw that night, and You saw us and heard us.
God, we are here before You!”
