1. OUR FAMILY WORSHIPS GOD TOGETHER:
Being a child of God is the most wonderful gift a person can be given. A family that’s able to all be children of God together is yet another wonderful thing. Find an evening once a week to listen to some worship songs together as a family before bedtime. Thank you, God, for being the father of my family, and my father too.
2. LISTEN AND SHARE WITH THOSE WHO SERVE:
There are many people serving God in the church. As a family, try to invite one of them to meet with you so that you can share with them and listen to their thoughts and feelings. Each member of your family can prepare a question to ask about the calling, challenges, joys, and desires of someone who serves God. Afterwards, pray together for them.

3. SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR CHILDREN:
“Just as there is only one sun, so you only have one mother in this life” [a Vietnamese proverb]. You only have one father too! Parents are one-of-a-kind, and having parents is something to be treasured. Having someone to love you, take care of you, and to go alongside you is a true blessing. Make a regular time where you can meet individually with your kids; it can be father – son, father – daughter, mother – son, or mother – daughter time. Use this time to do something you both like, such as taking a walk, going to the supermarket, going to the bookstore, reading books together, watching movies, doing arts and crafts, getting a haircut, swimming, playing sports, playing chess, etc.

4. JOYFUL BROTHERS, SISTERS, AND COUSINS, LET’S SET UP A GRAND FESTIVAL
Talk to your kids about possibly setting up a “grand festival” for heir brothers and sisters, and their cousins as well.
During the festival, spend time with your kids, helping them play their favorite games, cooking, and eating with each other at the home of someone who’s attending.
“How happy I am to have my parents, how great is the joy of having brothers, sisters, and cousins!”
[a Vietnamese saying]
5. PROPOSITION FROM THE PARENTS:
Have a discussion with your parents and together set out 5 helpful principles that will help you become a better student. Write them down somewhere and then add designs and decorations if you can. After you’re done, put it somewhere easy to see, like your desk. Use it to help you remember these principles and remember to trust in God’s grace to help you do them.
