10 Years Going to School Together
Having a best friend like David and Jonathan in the Bible is truly special and heartwarming. Just like them, Ngo Van Hieu and Nguyen Tat Minh, who were born in 2002 in Thanh Hoa, share an incredible friendship.
Minh was born with some challenges—his legs didn’t work, and one of his arms couldn’t move. Despite his family’s efforts to help him, they couldn’t find a solution. But Minh stayed positive and didn’t let it get him down.
Hieu, who lived just 200 meters away, became Minh’s best friend. When they were only eight years old, Hieu decided to carry Minh to school every day. He said, “Minh never gets sad or blames anyone for his situation. I wanted to do something to help him come to school with me.”

For the past ten years, Hieu has been Minh’s legs. Whether it’s sunny, rainy, or stormy, these two friends travel all over the countryside together. They became so close that people joked they were “joined at the hip.” Their friendship made their families proud and happy. Recently, in their high school graduation exams, both Hieu and Minh scored more than 28 out of 30 points, making them some of the top students in their school.
Their story shows how true friends support each other through challenges, proving that together, overcoming obstacles and achieving great things are possible.
