01. THE SECRET WEAPONS (Guess the word from the pictures)
Materials: 6 pictures representing the 6 pieces of the armor of God.
How to play: Pass out the pictures for players to guess the name of the “secret weapon”. Have prizes for everyone who guesses correctly.
Purpose of the game: Before going out to battle, a soldier always needs to be equipped with the right weapons and armor. This game introduces your children to the 6 pieces of armor that a Christian needs in order to go into battle.

02. THE SECRET WEAPONS (Find the six pieces of the armor of God hidden alongside other pieces)
Materials (1 set per team):
– 1 set of pictures of the armor of God.
– 1 set of pictures of other things related to soldiers: a gun, a combat helmet, a backpack, a water bottle, a rubber boots, a stun gun, a knife, a bomb, a grenade, a helicopter, walkie-talkies, etc.
– Hide the sets around the room with tape or however else you would like. Use the same number of sets as there are teams.
How to play: Each team can split themselves up however they want to try and find the six pieces of the armor of God that are mentioned in the lesson. Whichever team finds them all the quickest wins.
Purpose of the game: Be able to recognize the armor of God that they need in spiritual battles to help them become a proper Christian soldier.

03. EQUIP YOURSELF
Materials:
– 6 pieces of paper, each with a piece of the armor of God written on them.
– 6 pieces of paper, each with an attribute related to each of the pieces of armor written on them.
– Tape (enough for however many players there are).
How to play:
– Explain each piece in the armor of God and their attributes (each piece is given one attribute).
– Tape one attribute to each player’s back.
– Give out one piece of the armor to each player.
– You can check again with each player to make sure that they understand which attribute goes with the piece of armor they’re holding.
– The player’s job is to find the attribute that matches their piece of armor and place their hand on the shoulders of whoever has that attribute. For example: You’re holding the word “sword”, so you have to put your hand on the shoulder of whoever has the phrase “Word of God” stuck to their back.
– The game ends when a majority of the players have found their attribute. There should be a penalty for whoever gets eliminated each round.
Purpose of the game:
God taught us about this armor so that Christians can use them to win more battles against temptation and resist the devil, the world, and the flesh. Knowing about these six important pieces of the armor of God and their descriptions will help your children understand how to equip and use them correctly when faced with spiritual battles, and to be prepared to “knock out” their enemies.
