We thank God that the Scripture Union Vietnam (SUVN) ministry continues to serve His Kingdom through the Word of God – made possible by your prayers, trust, and partnership. As we look back on March, our hearts are full of thanksgiving and hope for what God is preparing ahead. We’d love to share some ministry highlights with you. |
Bible Engagement Events
For over 10 years, SU has focused on developing and writing Bible-based resources. But starting this year, we are intentionally working to bring these resources to local churches that haven’t yet had the chance to access and really use them. Last month, SU was invited to three local churches (two in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Gia Lai) to host Bible resource engagement events. We were so encouraged to see the excitement in such a positive response from believers – especially to our resources for children, small groups, and families. We praise God that SU still has the opportunity to walk alongside local churches and help strengthen God’s people in Vietnam whenever possible.
Teacher Training
Raising the Next Generation Among the Jrai People
The Jrai community in Gia Lai is largely Christians, but access to general education and Christian resources is still limited. By God’s grace, through the invitation and help of the Christian Library in HCM, SU held a training program in March for over 70 teachers from 19 Jrai churches. The training focused on materials for preschoolers, children, and young people.
Pastors in the region also joined with a shared longing: to see the next generation of Jrai believers grow strong in their walk with Christ and rise up to serve in Jrai churches throughout Gia Lai and beyond.
Currently, we need support to print 779 Bible study books and learning tools for the number of Jrai children, youth, and teenagers signed up for our program. We are praying that God will raise up partners to help us move closer to our vision that “the next generation would know… and put their trust in God” (Psalm 78:4–7).
Vacation Bible School 2025
ALL FOR JESUS Summer is near, and the SU Team has started working on this year’s VBS curriculum! In the church, we often emphasize how God created our souls to know and worship Him. But we also teach this vital truth: God also created our physical bodies – fearfully and wonderfully- with purpose. This year’s VBS invites children on a special journey of full dedication to God – starting with a heart surrendered to God so that our eyes would see what pleases Him, our ears would listen to the truth, our hands would be ready to serve, our mouths would speak love, and our feet would choose to walk in righteousness. Through this program, children who have never heard about Jesus will also have the opportunity to learn of God’s beautiful plan for them, discover how faith can be lived out in their lives, and begin taking their first steps with Him. SU Vietnam in Hanoi
We’re also excited to share that Hoài Thu, a faithful and godly staff member who has served with SUVN in Ho Chi Minh for the past 6 years, will be in Hanoi for 3 months to help strengthen and develop SU’s work in northern Vietnam.
Our vision is to see more children, families, and churches in the North engage with Gospel-centered learning resources. Please pray with us for open doors, key connections, and God’s continued guidance every step of the way.

- For God to raise up generous supporters to help provide Bible study booklets for 779 children from the Jrai minority ethnic group.
